The City of Paris, with an area of 105.40 km2 and a population of approximately 2,187,526 inhabitants in 2020, is located in the Île-de-France region. Napoleon III, dreamer of a great Paris, “clean and beautiful”, in 1859, handed Baron Haussmann the decree of the annexation of the suburbs.
